Our Story
Paint Freely. Travel Light. Wander Far.
Wanderer's Palette started in a small Connecticut studio with a simple frustration: plein air painting gear was either bulky, flimsy, or both.
Nana, a working artist, wanted a board that could hold her palette, paper, and water — magnetically, securely — and still fit in a daypack. So she built one. Then another. Then hundreds.
Today, every Wanderer's Palette board is designed in our Connecticut studio: magnetic plein air painting boards with palette adapters, hand-filled travel palettes with professional Holbein watercolors, and cotton journals made for painters on the go.
4,700+ Etsy sales, a 5.0-star rating, and 2,000+ five-star reviews later, the mission hasn't changed: tools that disappear into your adventure, so the painting comes first.
Whether you're sketching on a mountaintop or in a corner café — paint freely, travel light, wander far.
